When three children took the stage on The Voice Kids to perform the iconic song by vocal legends Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli, the judges and audience were left in awe. While it’s one thing to admire adult artists like Dion and Bocelli, witnessing children perform with such undeniable talent was truly remarkable.

As Matteo, Claudia, and Matteo Marcus prepared to sing “The Prayer” during the battle on The Voice Kids, initial nerves were evident. However, as Claudia began the song, hitting the first note flawlessly, the audience erupted in applause, and the judges were immediately impressed. The boys followed suit, each showcasing their impressive vocal abilities before harmonizing seamlessly.

With each singer delivering their part, emotions ran high, with parents backstage shedding tears and the audience sitting on the edge of their seats. One judge, visibly moved by the performance, rose to her feet as the trio’s voices intertwined, creating a spellbinding moment.

As they reached the final note, the crowd erupted into cheers, prompting the children to deliver a mini encore, much to the delight of everyone present.

“The Prayer,” originally recorded separately in English by Dion and in Italian by Bocelli, received critical acclaim, earning a Golden Globe Award for Best Original Song in 1999 and a Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Collaboration in 2000.

Comments flooding the video of their performance echoed the sentiment of disbelief at having to choose between the talented trio, with many expressing how breathtakingly beautiful and emotionally stirring the rendition was. One viewer simply stated, “I sobbed.”
