Jojo, having previously competed on AGT during Season 15 as part of the vocal group Resound, was familiar with the pressures of performing on the AGT stage. Reflecting on his prior experience, he shared that it taught him “never to give up,” and this perseverance was evident in his incredible vocal display alongside his niece.
Bri’Anna, on the other hand, was new to the AGT spotlight but handled it like a seasoned performer. Her powerful and mature voice wowed the audience, and her cheerful demeanor further endeared her to the judges. When asked what she would do with a million-dollar prize, Bri replied that she wanted to make the world a better place, showing not just her vocal talent but her kind-hearted spirit as well.
The performance earned a standing ovation from the judges and the audience, with Simon Cowell describing it as “the definition of joy and magic.” Howie Mandel praised the duo, saying “I loved it… I think this whole room loved it. I think people in America loved it. But even more important, you’re going to be remembered.”
