It worked fine for a while, but things have changed. My partner and I are expecting another baby in a few months, and we desperately need more space.
We suggested that she move into a lovely nursing home nearby. It seemed like the best solution for everyone, but she outright refused. She said she wasn’t ready to leave her home and didn’t want to feel “abandoned.”
Now, she’s gone even further—she’s talking about selling her share of the house! She knows how much we rely on this place as our family home, especially with another baby on the way. I can’t believe she would even consider doing something so selfish.
