After finding refuge in a shelter, dogs experience remarkable transformations in their lives.

After Steve Craig’s beloved dog passed away, he grappled with grief and depression for an extended period. Eventually, he realized the importance of providing another dog with a fulfilling life. However, his compassion extended beyond just one canine companion. Venturing to a dog shelter in Denver, Colorado, Craig expressed his desire to adopt older dogs, recognizing their often overlooked status.

Time has passed since then, and now Steve is the proud “father” of ten adult dogs, catapulting him into Instagram stardom with 478,000 followers. Each morning, Steve rises at 5 o’clock to prepare breakfast not only for himself but also for his furry friends. Tailoring each dog’s diet to their specific needs, including necessary medications for those in declining health, is a daily ritual.

“They are remarkably intelligent and wise,” Craig reflects. “It’s akin to human wisdom acquired with age. They possess a profound sense of self-awareness and can effortlessly connect with both humans and fellow animals. I find solace in knowing they recognize the love and care they receive. Their gratitude, expressed in the purest form, is truly heartwarming.”

In addition to his canine companions, Craig’s household is a sanctuary for a domestic pig named Bikini, several chickens and ducks, as well as pigeons and cats. Though his home is now brimming with love and life, Steve envisions expanding his space in the future to accommodate more elderly dogs in need of shelter and affection.
