It had been 25 years since Rosa Ramirez last had a haircut.

Widely recognized in the United States for her long hair, Rosa’s refusal to trim her ankle-length locks drew attention wherever she went, despite her husband’s requests.

Eventually, Rosa decided it was time for a change. She acknowledged the need to alter her appearance and agreed to have her hair cut short. As part of the agreement, she donated her cut hair to a company that makes wigs for children with cancer.

At this stage, the situation only worsens because removing facial hair can be quite uncomfortable. Instead of risking skin irritation and burns with waxing, consider trying one of the following natural remedies. To minimize discomfort, remember to apply them in the direction of hair growth.

Baking soda and coffee:
This mixture acts as an exfoliant, removing hair from the roots and leaving skin smoother and healthier.

Instructions:
Combine 3 tablespoons of water, 2 teaspoons of instant coffee, and 1 tablespoon of baking soda in a bowl.

Leave the paste on your face for a maximum of five minutes, as it dries quickly. Massage it in when it has dried, then rinse your face. Use this method regularly to prevent facial hair growth.

Lentils and potatoes:
This is a common treatment in India. Soak lentils overnight, then grind them the next morning to make a paste. Add three grated and peeled potatoes, 4 tablespoons of lemon juice, 1 tablespoon of honey, and 3 teaspoons of potato juice to the mixture. Apply the paste evenly on your face. After 20 minutes, rub it off and cleanse your face thoroughly.

Rose water with mung bean flour:
You can cleanse sensitive, acne-prone skin and remove facial hair by combining mung bean flour and rose water.

Mix 2 tablespoons of mung bean flour, 1 teaspoon of rose water, and 1 tablespoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice in a bowl. Apply the mixture to the area with hair follicles and leave it on for 20 minutes. Rinse it off and pat your face dry. Repeat three to four times per week for best results.
