Jimi Bellmartin, a seasoned contestant on The Voice Senior, stole the hearts of viewers during the finals with his electrifying rendition of the R&B classic “Stand By Me.”

Following his victory, Bellmartin’s future looks bright, with potential opportunities to release an EP and perform live at Amsterdam’s prestigious Ziggo Dome. Throughout the season, Bellmartin had been a frontrunner, captivating audiences with his remarkable talent.

During his audition, Bellmartin’s rendition of James Brown’s “It’s a Man’s World” immediately prompted all the coaches to turn their chairs, recognizing his exceptional vocal prowess.

In a poignant two-minute, thirty-three-second clip from The Voice Senior’s final, Bellmartin delivers a masterful performance of Ben E King’s “Stand By Me.” His soulful rendition, particularly the stirring chorus “stand by me,” resonates deeply with listeners.

Bellmartin’s musical journey began at a young age when he immigrated to Holland as a child. Growing up in Vught, he spent his entire life immersed in music, lending his voice to both parties and backing vocals for renowned artists such as Percy Sledge, Lou Rawls, Eric Burdon, and The Trammps. His extensive experience led him to perform on stages worldwide, touching the lives of millions.

In 1970, Bellmartin released his debut single, “This is My Love Song,” marking the beginning of his musical career. Later, he assumed the role of lead singer for The Soul Snatchers, a funk band, in 2007.
