“After stunning both judges and audience with her flawless performance, 13-year-old British schoolgirl Courtney Hadwin from Durham, United Kingdom, has earned herself a coveted golden buzzer, propelling her straight to the quarterfinals of America’s Got Talent.

Courtney’s rendition of Otis Redding’s ‘Hard To Handle’ left all four judges and the audience on their feet, showering her with a standing ovation. Despite appearing nervous at first, Courtney unleashed an emotional and powerhouse performance that belied her young age.

Judge Howie Mandel was particularly impressed, awarding her the golden buzzer, a ticket to the quarterfinals, and a shot at the $1 million prize. Each judge can only use the Golden Buzzer once per season, underscoring just how blown away Howie was by Courtney’s audition.

Despite experiencing disappointment in the past after narrowly missing out on the top prize on The Voice Kids UK last year, Courtney remained determined and positive. Her decision to audition for America’s Got Talent has certainly paid off, showcasing her unique talent on a global stage.”
